Here links to useful information.
The most important detail to sewing a well-fitting garment is your measurements. Here are two links to taking your measurements and finding your BurdaStyle size.

If your waist measurement is one pattern size, and your hips another, it is easy to make a custom size line with Burda’s multi-size patterns. Here is a link with illustrations – and a tutorial with step by step photos.

If your chosen pattern is a little too long or too short, you can make that adjustment. Just remember to have the bust and hip measurements match the size of your pattern.

If the pattern you love is not in your size, generally you can grade up or down by two sizes. It is a little more time consuming and requires careful measuring and patience, but being able to wear what you want and have it fit you well makes it worth the effort. Unfortunately, I do not have a link to share with the instructions, contact me for more information.
