A Fellowship of Artisans
In 2018 I completed the BurdaStyle Instructor Certification. Here are the projects I submitted for this program. All garments were made on a Babylock Soprano. The Sweatshirt was made from a lightweight knit on a sewing machine with a bias cut neckline. The Shorts, Jacket, and Dress were made from a khaki Twill. Since they would not fit me (and were not my style) I went with the free fabric on hand which provided technical challenges. Have you ever tried to gently and evenly place gathers in a mid-weight twill? I wouldn’t recommend it; it did take some finessing. Thank you to my son and friend who graciously modeled the garments that weren’t meant for them since my fit model had the flu.
*Apologies if the pages take a while to load as I’m new to editing photographs. I’ll reload the proper web sized photos as soon as my tutor gives me the instructions. 😉
