A Fellowship of Artisans
Survived a busy spring semester with 10 units at two junior/community colleges (JC)…barely. Quite a bit of work in 5 sewing classes from Jan to May. My sewing supplies took over a larger portion than usual of the house. Learned so many tips and tricks, new techniques. Challenged myself working with knits in three classes. Had fun learning to fit garments, though ended up making technique pieces due to time constraints. But I have the adjusted patterns and fabric to make garments to fit this summer or whenever I feel so inclined.
After a bit of rest need to start preparing for a busy summer. Only taking one JC class, but will back to teaching machine instruction and a few creative classes on making bags and basic sewing skills. Need to make additional samples to photograph and edit the tutorials. Pre-COVID samples could be passed around class, so thinking ways to present the information in way that respects personal space.
Someday I’ll get photos of recent projects…the infamous someday…..
